The relaxing place to fish in France
Lake Brillac, the newest venue in the beautiful Poitou-Charentes region of France, is set in over 8 acres of land.
Dating back to the 1700's, Lake Brillac is a Napoleonic lake which is spring fed, and has never been commercially fished. It has a soft clay bed, surrounded by trees, with grass banks with no preset pegs/swims. Our lake is stocked with carp, trout, some tench and bream, with more fish beeing added.
You can fish for carp or fly fish for trout
the lake depths range from 1ft to 6ft with bars dotted around the lake and the lake bed is weed free and poisson chat free , there are also some crayfish but we have found them not to be a problem with the bait. We have already part drained the lake so we could inspect the lake bed and banks ( see photo).
